One of Canada’s Top 100 Employers is seeking a talented and motivated Intermediate Commercial Property Underwriter to join their team.  The successful candidate will review and evaluate new and renewal applications for commercial property insurance products, determine whether to accept or reject applications based on examining the nature and degree of risk involved, calculate insurance premiums, develop professional relationships with brokers to negotiate business, and determine the percentage of involvement in subscription policies and arrange for reinsurance.

Qualifications:

• Successful completion of 6 CIP courses or
• Post-secondary education in an insurance related discipline, including 5 years experience in Commercial Property and Casualty underwriting
